Think about the last time you had a family dinner celebrating a newborn in the family, a party for a one year old baby, or maybe a baptismal ceremony. How did you feel about the precious baby? Think about the last time you were watching an old family video on an archaic cassette from 10 to 20 years ago. There you were jolly as you could possibly be, playing in the park on the swings, or messing around with pots and pans on the kitchen floor. Life was utterly fascinating, adventurous, and beautiful as a baby. Unfortunately, many people in this society and culture do not value the life of a human baby. Abortion If you tell any of these people that abortion is murder, they will yell at your face and say, “It’s her body, let her do whatever she wants with it!” This is a generic response from many pro-choice people. However, they do not realize that a baby in the womb is a different and unique living being, with completely different genetic makeup from the mother and the father. As a godfather, and someone who has volunteered at hospitals helping young kids, I find abortion to be an evil, and …show more content…
For instance, Olivia Wilde, one of the cast members from the series House, launched a video of talking about abortion rights. She herself was pregnant in the video talking about women’s choice about aborting babies. If someone who is pregnant and talks about abortions must have some form of mental inadequacy. Lena Dunham, an actress and producer, once said that she never had an abortion but wished she had one. Some of these celebrities treat abortion as a miracle tool that could be used at their own convenience. What does this say about the culture, and way of life we live in? We freak out when a dog or cat is not fed for a week, but aborting a human life is totally acceptable. Moreover, the same people that value animal life over fetal life are the same ones who are strong opponents of the death

Abortion is a very touchy subject to a lot of people. Sometimes you can't even say the word "abortion" without getting disgusted looks from the people around you or getting a lecture about why it's a good thing. Abortion is not a good thing. Why should an innocent life be taken without even having the ability to defend itself? Why should a living thing be told that it doesn't have feelings or that it doesn't matter?…

People try to make it easier on themselves. It is a fetus, but it is also an innocent baby. When it comes to the topic of abortion, fetus is a term used to dehumanize an innocent life. “Abortion is in direct defiance of the commonly accepted idea of the sanctity of human life” (Lowen 1). If society thinks that it is okay to kill innocent lives, who will we think it is okay to kill next?…

I am pro-choice, but not because I do not value human life, and most certainly not because I hate children. I believe that human life is of the utmost importance, but I also think that women’s rights are essential. It is not inhumane, or unfair for women to seek out an abortion, it is their medical decision, and it is their right to have control over their own body. People state that the mother could simply give the child up for adoption, but that may not be the best option, and there are a number of reasons as to why someone would seek out an abortion. Pregnancies can be extremely costly, and the mother may be unable to afford to keep the child.…

There are enough scientific studies to show the baby is alive giving it the rights every American has, the right to life. Taking away the life of an innocent child should have the same outcome, if not worse, than taking a life of someone who can protect themselves. Many people do not value the life of an unborn child, but I do not really understand that because each one of us was given life from two people, carried by a mother, and born in some way. If we deserve to be on this earth how can we now decide to take that opportunity away from someone? The best solutions are sometimes the hardest to get into play, so another solution for parents not wanting children is to find people who do want…

Abortion, Pro choice Abortion. Now depending on your religious moral beliefs you have this word might make you uncomfortable. But my goal in this paper is to make you see why you shouldn’t view abortion as the ending of a life but the saving of another. Through the years this has been a controversial debate, that over time has been ruled in the Supreme court to be a constitutional right of the woman. And in order to preserve women’s constitutional rights we should continue to allow them to choose how they wish to deal with a wanted or unwanted pregnancy.…

If this were not true, there would be no need to even talk about rights of personhood. Abortion has been one of the main topics in America to produce a plethora of controversy, marking the collision of two values: pro-life and pro-choice. While we know that each side produces a wide variety of points as to why each group believes what they do, we still must be omniscient about the life of the child. Someone who is pro-choice would argue that the woman has the right to her own body and what happens to it; however, taking the side of pro-choice disregards the child’s life. This seems like complete balderdash to me, almost to be noted ignorant. Abortion is wrong to me because it is considered murder, it causes psychological and emotional trauma to the mother, and it teaches people to ignore responsibility.…

People are known for having sympathetic feelings to a child who is visible over the unborn fetus. However, pro-life activists hold that emotions that cannot form a basis for justifying birth. With the fetus being born or not being born; the fetus does have a chance in becoming a full human being. Viability of a fetus to survive outside the womb independently is when the fetus is able to get that ‘full human being’ status. Abortion also raises ethical issues of character.…
