According to the World Health Organization, “Every year there is an estimated 40-50 million abortions, which is 125,000 abortions per day.” People may say that abortion is okay to do because the babies don’t feel any pain when the procedure is performed, the US Supreme Court says it is a fundamental right, and it empowers women to control over their own bodies. Abortion is not right because of that. The individuals should have thought about the consequences before conceiving and it is now the consequence of their actions. So they have the responsibility to take care of that child. Abortion is the killing of an innocent human being, which is murder.

Babies start to develop vital organs early on that make them considered part of the human population. According to Mayo Clinic they state, “The fifth week of pregnancy, or the third week after conception, marks the beginning of the embryonic period. This is when the baby's brain, spinal cord, heart and other organs begin to form…or 10 weeks after conception, your baby is developing fingernails. Your baby's face now has a human profile.” People are allowed to get abortion until they have hit the ten week mark after they have conceived. This quote is telling us that a baby heart has already started to form and therefore are considered human life. If someone were to decide to get an abortion close to the ten week mark they are going to be killing a baby because they have develop all the characteristics that people use to distinguish who they are. Babies are able to feel pain during an abortion. According to Dr. Robert P. N Shearin he, explains, “As early as eight to ten weeks after conception…the unborn experiences organic pain…. First, the unborn child's mouth, at eight weeks, then her hands at ten weeks, then her face, arms, and legs at eleven weeks become sensitive to touch. By thirteen-and-a-half weeks, she responds to pain at all levels of her nervous system in an integrated response which cannot be termed a mere reflex.
