One point zero six million people, 1.06 million people had an abortion performed on them in 2011. One point zero six million lives who didn’t have to grow up in a broken family. One point zero six million lives who didn’t have to grow up in financial destitution. One point zero six million lives who didn’t have to go through emotional and physical abuse. One point zero six million lives who didn’t have to live with parents who weren’t responsible for undertaking the job of raising a child correctly. One point zero six million lives saved from the immense hardship that is bound to affect them. Not only should abortion be legal, it should be a human’s natural right.

Now, I realize I just opened the floodgates to rage driven arguments and claims of religious heresy. If you have a television, you know that the abortion topic has been on America's newsreel for years. Statistics shows

“What is considered living?” In my opinion, there is a difference between living and surviving, and the U.S census seems to agree with me. The U.S census made a claim saying that “Personhood is described as being able to SURVIVE outside of the mother’s womb”. This brings me to a statistic that hammers the final nail on the casket, 99% of people who were aborted were aborted before the 21th week. The youngest baby to survive childbirth was Frieda, in 2010. She was considered a miracle, doctors were absolutely baffled can you guess how old she was when she was born? 21 weeks and 5 days. Even the U.S census definitively states that 99% of children who are aborted aren’t considered people. Some may think that you're not killing the child's life, you are killing the child's future. And yet this brings me back to my argument before, in most cases it does more harm if the individual is

More often than not, abortion is the result of pregnancy due to rape, or the inability to support a child for any variety of reasons. Although many see it as the termination of a life, abortion needs to be an option to save the lives of women who are not able to support a child. While opposing viewers might say that abortion terminates a potential life and is dangerous, it is actually saving the life of a woman who wouldn’t be able…

People argue about the foetus’ right to live, but are we putting the right of an organism that cannot survive on its own, over the woman who has to carry it? In 2015, 50% of adults in the U.S.A considered themselves ‘pro-choice’ and 46% ‘pro-life’. This is the biggest gap there has been. Abortions can be very emotionally taxing and are not cheap, costing NZD$350-500 in the first trimester or more depending the stage. According to the World Health Organization, “Forty-seven thousand women die from complications of unsafe abortion each year”. While these numbers are unsettling enough, with the outlaw of abortion these numbers will continue to rise. The debate of “Pro life” and “Pro choice” are the two sides of abortion that have split the world in half: this being a debate between morality, and free will. The outlaw of abortion affects the norm of society; abortion forces the usage of unsafe abortions, a rise in the already overpopulated planet, and a financial impact of the child’s mother (WHO). While no state within the United States has made abortion fully illegal, some states continue to constrict the rules that surround abortion.…

“When a man steals to satisfy hunger, we can safely assume that there is something wrong in society so when a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is evidence that either by education or circumstances she has been greatly wronged.” Said by Mattie Brinkerhoff. Abortion is increasing tremendously. There are 40-50 million abortions that occur per year, that means there are 125,000 unborn babies that die every day. In fact, Frank Pavone states that “If we took a moment of silence for each person lost to abortion we would be silent for over 100 years.”…

Abortion is a very serious and heated issue within our society. Although 50 years ago, it was not an issue that was looked at with near the passivity and normality as it receives now. Our country has legalized and made acceptable to some the murder of more than 63 million babies. Yes, there is a serious problem. Even though some view this problem as a not so significant issue, they would most likely view the 6 million deaths of the holocaust as extremely tragic and horrifying.…

Pro-life advocates tend to think that if abortion were illegal, there would be not more abortions. They, however, are false. If abortion were to be illegal, there would still be many abortions performed; they would be unsafe procedures performed by non-physicians who may botch the procedure, by the pregnant mothers themselves or by “back-alley butchers” (“Misconceptions About Abortion”). Modern abortion procedures are safe and sanitary. Access to legalized, professionally performed abortions reduces the risk of injury or death.…
