Stress and worry is what tends to trigger the thought of having an abortion but what they don’t realise is that the feeling of relief following an abortion is just temporary, later they find themselves coping with feelings they did not expect and were never warned about, some of these feelings are anger, guilt, flashbacks, memory repression, suicidal thoughts, hallucinations. All which are very serious. Jewels Green speaks up about her experience saying “On January 6, 1989, at 9 1/2 weeks’ gestation, I had an abortion. It nearly killed me. No, not the surgical procedure, the psychological aftermath. I attempted suicide three times after my abortion and finally ended up in an adolescent psychiatric ward of a community hospital for a month to recover.” She later quite her job at an abortion clinic which terrorized her further. This is just one story out there of a mother who regrets the decision she makes, there are thousands out there. All mentioning their huge regret and if they could change one thing in life it would be getting that abortion. So why does the government let it get to that stage why not change the law now and prevent this distress of numerous woman. Most teenagers abort because they are not ready or it was a mistake, but that mistake could be the best thing in your life, that thing that you aren’t ready for will push you to become more than ready.
