Abortion is arguably the most prominent issue in the United States. Whether it comes to political policy or just someone’s moral standpoint, abortion means so much to citizens. The Bible does not directly touch upon abortion. Nowhere in the text does it directly say the word “abortion,” however it does discuss a baby’s life. In many instances, it speaks of the baby’s life and how it is sacred. Jeremiah 1:4-5 states “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you” (The Holy Bible), God was saying how he knows the child before they are born and has a plan for them. Every life is sacred, whether they are born or not. The Bible in many ways describes how a child’s life is sacred whether born or not, abortion is not supported by the Bible and this is argued frequently in politics. Biblical scripture in many instances supports the pro-life stance. There are plenty of different quotes and instances throughout the Bible that can back up the pro-life stance. For instance, in Jeremiah 1:4-5 it states that “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you” (The Holy Bible). This discusses how god has a plan for every child from conception. Every child is intended to be on this Earth, not to just be killed off. It is immoral to think it is okay to murder a child based off a decision that a certain person made. That person should understand what they did and accept it. The child has no control on the situation and should not suffer for something they have not done. Based off what the quote had…
