According to Don Marquis, a philosophy professor from Kansas University, killing is not wrong because it shows the killer to be barbaric, or for the reason that it leaves friends and relatives behind saddened. Rather, killing is wrong primarily due to the effect it has on the victim (The Case). The loss of life is the greatest loss anyone can suffer by the reason that it deprives us of all the experiences that otherwise would have been a part of our future, which we now value or would have come to value. If the loss of our valuable future is what makes killing you and me wrong, then abortion is equally wrong because it deprives the fetus of a "future like ours" (The Case). Therefore, since fetuses have a "future like ours," it is obvious that abortion is morally wrong because human fetuses do not desire to be killed. In addition, abortion is also wrong due to the Golden Rule being right. Abortion is wrong in behalf of the simplest moral principle: the Golden Rule, "[d]o unto others what you would have the do unto you, and do not do unto others what you would not have them do unto you." The Golden Rule suggests treating others the way you want to be treated, and never do anything to others you would not wish to be done to you. Rape and incest are traumatic experiences for women, but carrying the infant for nine months and giving it up for adoption is the best choice. Because incidents that happen have nothing to do with the human fetus, there is absolutely no reason to slaughter the fetus in order to forget about the traumatic event; therefore, killing the human fetus will not make the situation any better. According to American Adoptions, adoption is the best choice considering that there is not cost to you if you select it. In fact, pregnancy-related expenses are paid for by the adoptive family, which often include medical care and living expenses (Adoption). American Adoptions also mentions that by giving up the baby the baby for adoption you feel: positive about your choice, you will remember giving birth, and most importantly your pregnancy ends with giving a life (Adoption). While on the other hand, if you have an abortion: you may feel guilty, your pregnancy ends with death, and you will remember taking a life. In addition, in Peter Kreeft's novel, he mentions that although there are babies that their biological parents do not want, there are still thousands of adults waiting to adopt those "unwanted babies" (Kreeft 67). Thus, no woman deserves to experience an abortion after rape, or incest, but if she believes that the best
