Statistics show 47,000 women die each year due to unsafe abortions. Many women who have had an abortion suffer life threatening effects such as heavy bleeding, fever, and infection. It can also cause problems in future pregnancies, such as miscarriages, premature birth, and can even result in a disabled child.
The National Cancer Institute Commissioned a study which found a link between abortion and cancer. Dr. Janet Daling and her colleagues at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, found that among women who had been pregnant before, the risk of breast cancer in those who had experienced an induced abortion, was 50% higher than among other women. Twenty-eight out of thirty-seven worldwide studies have linked abortion with breast cancer, according to the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer. Only 5% of pregnancies are due to rape, hence 95% of pregnancies are a result of choices you made. You are responsible for your own choices. If you decide to have sex, you should be aware of the possible consequences. If you’re adult enough to be having sex, you’re adult enough to take responsibility for your consequences caused by your own actions. Failure of contraceptives does not make it acceptable to kill a child who was created through an act in which you willingly chose to participate
