Abortion: An Unspeakable Crime

“The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if the mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between.”(Mother Teresa). Abortion is an unspeakable crime which deserves no forgiveness at all. But they may ask the question, what is in reality abortion or what does it mean? Abortion is when a pregnancy is ended so that it doesn’t result in the birth of a child. Sometimes it is called ‘termination of pregnancy.’ Abortion is an action whereby many women think it is a way, whereby, they can get rid of an unborn baby which they don’t want.

It kills the body of the baby and it kills the conscience of the mother. Abortion is profoundly anti-women. Three quarters of its victims are women: Half of the babies and all the mothers.” Therefore, it is said that women who are willing to practice abortion are full conscience on what they are doing, that means they can’t blame the unborn baby since babies are unconscious and defenseless creatures. Many women think that it is enough by them taking out the child from their womb but in reality the mother’s conscience is the one that later on doesn’t leave them to live a normal life free of regrets. Some mothers even cry while remembering their past committed actions. She thinks that she can easily amend and that by asking for forgiveness, that’s enough. But no, taking away the life of an unborn baby is considered a crime. Not only a crime but as well a sin, since it’s God’s law to follow and He clearly gave the ten commandments in which he says, “You shall not kill.” Abortion is like killing any other person in this world, even though the child has not been yet brought into this world, the fetus has life and its’s considered a small tiny individuals. The other method is the dilation and curettage (D&D) is an absolute method of surgical abortion and should be replaced by vacuum aspiration and/or medical methods.
