Reasons Why Abortion Is Wrong

Abortion is a debatable topic for women that don 't know if they are able to take care of their child. Women want to abort either because they’re not ready, they don’t want a child to take care of, economic struggles, or because the father don’t want to take charge. By 1973 it was legal to have a choice in abortion because Roe Wade declared that it was the women 's choice in what they desire. A woman can abort a child whether it 's surgical or by taking medications from the beginning of their pregnancy. In 2005 a law called "the partial-birth abortion" was passed saying that you couldn 't get an abortion if you are 21 weeks or later with your pregnancy. Many people are still against with the fact that by aborting your child it makes you a killer. Abortion made a big impact on reasons that it isn 't an idea to …show more content…
People state that an embryo isn 't living. It’s just barely creating itself and doesn 't matter if you kill it in any form. "Living beings come into existence all at once and gradually unfold their world of innate potential." (10 Reasons Why Abortion is Evil & Not a "pro-Choice", 3). This states that once it 's something it 's already human. Being human doesn 't mean to be forming through weeks to be fully human. From the start of knowing that there is a child on its way you can’t say it’s not human. It’s a child that is being made just like we all did. “The defendant is assumed to be innocent unless proven guilty. Again the burden of proof is on the entity that would take away life or liberty." (Legal Argument Against Abortion, 7). It states that one cannot be killed unless they have done something bad. The baby is innocent inside the mother there is no way he could be a criminal of some sort. A criminal has a right to be heard in order to be killed or punished but the baby has no crime in becoming a human. It’s not fair that the baby has no right of having a future just because the woman isn 't

Yeah some mothers might not be suitable to have a baby but, that doesn 't mean you have to kill it. Although abortion may be the only route out if it concerns the health of the mother in some situations, people may argue that abortion should not be the easy way out for those who failed to take responsibility. Until we figure out that abortion should be illegal millions of babies will…

“The Holocaust refers to the period from 1933 to 1945. Jews were subjected to progressively harsher persecution that led to the murder of 6,000,000 Jews (1.5 million of these being children). These deaths represented two-thirds of European Jewry and one-third of all world Jewry” (The Holocaust). Although one would believe that the Jewish faith would have harsh ethical standards regarding abortion due to the devastation that diminished their population, this paper reveals that the religion does not forbid abortion, but permits abortion for health reasons (Judaism and Abortion, 2009).…

This was the biggest decision that had ever taken place in the United States Supreme Court system. The biggest aspect of this issue is determining whether or not the fetus is in fact a human being yet or not. Pro-choice activists argue that abortion is not murder because the fetus has not devolved human qualities and is “only a mass of tissues”. After 18 days of becoming pregnant, a heartbeat begins to develop as well as different parts of the brain. Throughout weeks 11-12 of a pregnancy, the fetus beings to act sensitive to touch, heat, light, and noise.…

Murder is defined at, “the unlawful killing of a human being” (Brown). While abortion isn’t found to be “unlawful” yet, “federal laws already protect the unborn” (Brown). In high school, I took four years of law enforcement and learned that it is illegal for a pregnant woman to be put to death until after she has given birth. “The law declared that an innocent unborn person cannot be sentenced and put to death for a crime he did not commit. If the unborn child were not seen as a person in the eyes of the law, there would be no need for this prohibition” (Brown).…

I agree with Thomson’s example of a woman wanting to get an abortion to avoid a nuisance being “indecent”, but that is not up to me to decide. Being pro-choice means to be for any decision that someone wants to make regarding their pregnancy, and not for a decision as long as it doesn’t go against what I believe is right. Although in this case, I may not agree that that’s a viable reason to want to get an abortion, because it is not my business or my body, it is not my decision to make. I also know that if I were put in a position of accidentally getting pregnant and not knowing what to do, I would want to have the option to get an abortion, regardless of whether I do it or not. A person wanting to get an abortion may want one because they…

Contrary to the popular idea that abortion is bad, I think abortion is a good thing because it can save the lives of young people. Now I know that sounds bad because you’re taking a life to save a life but hear me out. On the other hand, I do not think you should be able to have more than one. Abortion is used by several different individuals such as teenagers, rape victims, or even mothers in financial problems, but not matter the person should it be legal and do we give them an easy way out with Planned Parenthood? It’s easy to look at the mother’s side of the argument in this debate, but who is considering the baby’s side? If a person is more informed on this topic it would help them better understand the controversy, and know the reasoning behind both points of views. The best comparisoin to abortion that I have read was in “Abortion, Opposing Viewpoint,” and it said “Just as the Jewsih Holocaust in Nazi Germany was legal but morally wrong, abortions are legal but not moral.…
