Introduction
Abortion is a huge deal in the world today. Many people argue over whether it should be legal for a woman to abort a baby up to a certain number of weeks or even at all. I chose abortion as my topic because i believed that it would be interesting to research and to see how others think. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs. Many of the responses i received were very well explained and most people strongly felt one way or the other. While doing the research, i learned some interesting facts about abortion and definitely heard some different arguments and viewpoints. Many people who argue against pro-choice say that the fetus has full rights but pro-choice supporters say that the fetus has no self-awareness therefore it shouldn’t have any rights. Almost every religion has a view on abortion. A person is more likely to decide whether to abort their unborn child or not based on their religious views. ”Pro-choice advocates tend to focus greater attention on parents who do not want to have a child considering the future implications of having an unwanted child.“ (Lopez 514) Some examples of pro-choice perspectives are the relationship between crime and abortion, nonsensical pregnancy, philosophical considerations, and the politics of abortion. Teenage drug use results in quite a few pregnancies in the world today. These babies may end up having physical deformations or mental problems, which can be hard on the child, especially if it feels unwanted by their parents. There are also some people that believe in moderate perspectives such as birth control, sexual planning, and family
