In today's society there are around four thousand abortions a day. That is approximately one hundred and sixty eight abortions an hour. Many people have different views of these statistics. Some see it as an opportunity to save a child from the cruel reality of life and others see it as the deliberate murdering of a human being. The controversial debate revolving around the subject of abortions has been thriving as early as the thirteenth century. During this time, abortion was punishable by hanging and in the nineteenth century it was considered a capital offense. Even though the procedure was highly dangerous and risky, women still gabled their lives to have their pregnancies terminated through “back alley” physicians. Although there
