A baby's life begins before it is born. A new individual human being begins at fertilization, when the sperm and egg meet to form a single cell. For over 100 years, medical science has definitely known and proven that every living thing begins at the moment of fertilization (Anand Pain Report). Life starts the moment of conception. If the baby is not killed he or she will become a full grown adult, like every other human being. An unborn baby's heart begins to beat 18-21 days after fertilization (Anand Pain Report). This shows that babies are alive in the womb. The right to live movement is starting to succeed because since abortion became legal the abortion rates have been drastically …show more content…

For pro-life activists, there are two opinions. The first overwhelming opinion is that once the child is conceived, it is living. The second follows the idea of once a mother feels the child “kick,” which is around the eighth week, it is living. For pro-choice activists, scientific fact argues loudly that the fetus is absolutely “unable to sustain life outside the woman’s womb… instead an in utero fetus with the potential of becoming a child.” (Planning Parenthood)…

An abortion is effectively a medical decision and it should be made between the mother and her doctor. A woman should not be forced to have a child, and it would make little sense for a woman to have a child when they may not be ready. It would be unfair to not only the mother, but the child as well, the child may not receive the level of care that it deserves. Mothers may choose abortion because they are not prepared to have a child, it makes no sense for the mother to be forced into parenthood. After the child is born, the only people that will be there to support it would be its parents, and if the parents are not ready, there will be no way for the child receive the care it…

Chemicals, sharp objects, and homemade remedies; all of these are methods that have previously been facilitated to prematurely terminate – abort -- a pregnancy. Over many generations, abortion has been a very prevalent moral concern. The main debate appears to have a genesis in whether or not life begins at conception. As the years have passed, many have voiced their concerns that having an abortion of any sort is a violation to the fetus’ right to life. In opposition to this viewpoint, those that label themselves as pro-choice believe that a woman’s sovereign choice reigns supreme over the rights of the fetus.…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…

A woman will have to decide for herself, based on what she believes in, how her life will be with those beliefs, and who she will integrate with her decision. Abortion is not a choice for everyone, however for Pro-choice supporters is the right decision whether it is for convenience or to a woman who was a rape victim and wanted to end the pregnancy. It seems like an easy fix to a life problem that you can 't solve by yourself. If you start thinking about what will happen if abortions were made illegal, consequently a number of women will become injured or sterile as a result of the procedure. People will think that giving the child up for adoption could be the solution but in most cases, this can be very emotionally damaging for the child 's mother.…

Many have different reason to why they do, but either way it is wrong and it should not be legal. Throughout the years, the abortion rate has gone up severely. All of the abortions that happen can not just be from health issues or rape. A study shows that many abortions recently are just because the mother is not ready for a baby. “In 2010, more than half of all pregnancies were unintended in 28 states; in the remainder of the states, a minimum of 36% of pregnancies were unintended” (Wind, 1).…

Since 1760 BC, abortions have been sought-out internationally. There are a variety of reasons for them: because sexually abused women do not desire for guardianship of the child, females do not want their body to be unfit because of pregnancy, or it was a careless mistake that could have been prevented with birth control or any other prevention method. Many women have nonessential abortions. One quintessential example of this is in China; they kill fetuses if the sonogram proves the unborn child to be female. Abortions should be illegal because it is unjust and purposeless slaughter to the unborn human being.…

The nation could adopt abortion laws almost like the gun laws that stand today. There are gun laws that apply to the citizens of the United States that make businesses take regulations for those who want to buy a gun. They do this to prevent a gun going into the wrong hands and to save lives. Abortions can be regulated the same way especially when considering the mothers’ life as well as the growing baby. Clinics could adopt regulations such as going through certain procedures to give patients an abortion.…
