The debate on abortion- a huge controversial topic. Many say it is a decision that one person makes, in the end that decision touches everyone. On the other hand, people need to realize that abortion can be beneficial for certain individuals. For example, the mother's health. Being healthy is a huge factor when it comes to delivering a baby. There are many cases where the mother cannot deliver an infant without causing harm to herself or the baby. Katie Wedell Stated (2017), “It would have been more dangerous for me to continue to carry the baby and deliver it” (P. 4). In those cases, women have tried self abort and cause harm to themselves because they do not know where to go for help. “She had tried to perform her own abortion and used 40 tablets of the drug misoprostol” (Parvini 2017, p. 1). That is nearly three times the dosage a human is supposed to take. Abortion is becoming illegal in many places, and women are trying to do it themselves because they feel it needs to be done; however, (CA) it is only causing major harm and making things crucially threatening. It is better to have a doctor do it safely rather than the women self inflicting.
