Fate Of Abortion Essay

Abortion is the intentional termination of a human pregnancy. A pregnancy is always a miracle and should be treated as such. An abortion here in the United States is able to legally be terminated before viability, the age at which a child is able to survive outside of the womb normally about 24 weeks (Johnson), not everyone follows this law. No one should be able to determine the fate of a child that hasn’t had the opportunity to live their life. Many women have chosen to determine the fate of their unborn child. There are a lot women that will have an abortion in their lifetime. A developing baby is able to feel pain in the early stages of the 8th week (“AbortionFacts.com” Fact #13). “It is an indisputable fact that each and every legal, surgical abortion in America today stops a beating heart and stops already measurable brain waves” (“AbortionFacts.com” Fact #16). Living people have measurable brain wave patterns and constantly beating hearts. Those living people aren’t killed because of reasons that can be resolved. It has also been proven that life starts at the moment of conception (“AbortionFacts.com” Fact #16). A definition of life is simply something that can grow and alter in appearance and it can reproduce. All babies in the womb are growing and changing what they look like, when they are old enough they will end up reproducing. A child, even if the unborn is a perfect definition of life. If a child is living, then if they get aborted that stops their heart from beating and it will stop their life because they will no longer grow or change. Doesn’t that mean that if a child is aborted that they are essentially being murdered? Murder is supposed to be illegal, but there are more than one million abortions performed every single year
