The film historical drama movie; The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas covers the holocaust through the eyes of two 8 year old boys, one named Shmuel who was a Jewish prisoner and the other was Bruno who was the son of an SS soldier. One day Bruno accompanied Shmuel in search to find his father. The two 8 year old boys are stopped in the mist of their journey and were told by a guard to remove their clothes for a "shower". Essentially an SS soldier pours some Zyklon B pellets into the “shower”, and the prisoners start yelling and banging on the metal door where the two boys die. (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas) The film will send any audience into tears and disbelief from the fact that two innocent boys are killed for absolutely no reason. In the same sense; abortion is a genocide. Innocent children are being killed for reprehensible reasons! One couple got an abortion because their parents thought they were too young to take on the responsibility of raising a child (Lee 48). During many history classes today many ask where America was during the disaster of the holocaust. Post WW1 the United States adopted the policy of Isolationism; this is when we stayed out of the involvement in another country 's domestic and international conflicts. We as a country are practicing isolationism today in the 21 century, but within our own country! The law sits back and allow women to kill a child, because of a claim “it’s none of their business what a woman does with their body”. That idea is ridiculous because it’s not just her body, it is also where an innocent and precious child is developing. If we as a country continue to just sit back and practice this internal isolationism, we have truly learned nothing from the Holocaust during the 20th
