The main religions specifically in the US are Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. With these 3 religions having different values, it causes a lot of tension in our government, because our citizens all vary on their opinion on whether or not abortion should be allowed. The most general worldview about abortion is moral reasoning, and where it falls within people and their values/morals (Emerson). The values of abortion are different regarding religious groups and degree of involvement with religion, the effect of multiple court cases changes the severity of the value orientations when it comes to how important the topic of abortion really is (Harris and Mills 1). In 1973, one of the most landmark cases in the US was Roe vs. Wade. It is a legal, political, religious, and social issue that transcends many fundamental dimensions, including moral, familial, and human rights, which are the variety of worldviews that exist in our modern society (Hoffman 8). Specifically dealing with religion, most traditions go to some measures to ensure that their religious preferences distinguish abortion between effective and traumatic reasons. One main reason why religious preferences influence abortion attitudes is because it can determine a person’s fate, after death. Religion is such a touchy subject to bring up in this case of abortion because so many different debates can be brought up on whether or not it’s ethical, and should it be socially/politically accepted. Not all Christians agree with abortion , but some people look at it from the perspective of how Jesus would probably think , and how it can tie in with abortion, most Christians believe that Christianity is about healing, and consumption, and again view abortion as a sin. It is very bias when it comes to Christianity because there is a percentage of Christians all around the world who believe abortion should be accepted in their societies to not just women, but
