“We also need to make a basic color scheme, stage layout, and costumes.”

“You mean that you're making it about your family?” Mrs. Thompson asks.

“Ja, far was from a rich family and mor was an orphanage. Mor was a fairly famous author in Norway already, and was in the process of being adopted; when they met, fell in love, and consummated that love.” I heard Mrs. Thompson cough over the over sharing of information. “Mor’s adopted family was furious when mor turned out to be pregnant with far’s child, and tried to force her to have an abortion, but the day before the adorton, far showed up at her window and asked her to elope with him. She said yes and some other things I won’t divulge happened, then Yvonne met Elisabet’s father who got her

As I straighten I look at the new comers; twenty of them look like first years, fifteen look like second years, the other seven third years, and five fourth years. “Everyone gather around, I have a few quick announcements, and explanations before we split up, and work on our projects, or homework for the rest of the hour. In approximately half an hour we will have a married couple come in, this couple has had a life that would make even the strongest of people cry at their loss; I’m considering making a trilogy based off of their life. We will vote over it though, so need to worry that your opinion is being ignored. My second announcement, is that unfortunately, Jake, Mary, and Anna had to move, leaving a large hole in our third year class so we have accepted two new people into the class named Matthias and Elisabet. The two have been in theater for ten years, and are famous in their own right.” I blush, and look away; subconsciously scooting behind Matthias more. Just because I’m a good actor doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m not shy; when I’m on stage it’s as if the rest of the world doesn’t exist, and that I am the character that I am playing. Matthias has admitted that it is much the same for him. It’s why we can act so well; because to us the event’s in the play are actually happening, and we feel the emotions of the people we are playing. “That’s the end of the announcements so returning members can work on what they want. I’m going to explain what class does what to the newcomers.” The older members leave the group surrounding Mrs. Thompson, leaving us and the first years alone. “Now then, everyone here has some type of experience in theater in one form, or another; you twenty first years were hand selected out of the three thousand plus applicants that applied for the position, a lot of you moved here from a different town

Abortion Abortion became a primary issue with the court case Roe v. Wade when a decision was made by the Supreme Court in 1973 regarding the subject. The courts later changed certain parts of their decision with the court case Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey in 1992. The cases fought over the rights to receive an abortion and argued the right to do so through means of the Due Process clause of the 14th amendment and the Right to Privacy implied in previous cases. While some argued that it didn’t follow history or traditions the verdict ended, with a very close vote, with the right to abortion being allowed under specific circumstances.…

The mass harvestation and slaughter of newborns is not a viable proposal for the government at this time. While allowing the mother’s of children to contribute to society is an admirable goal, there are several flaws within this modest proposal. To begin; voluntary abortions, truly a wretched practice which has swept through the Irish nation. While this proposal claims that the practice of butchering infants will reduce the murders which mothers commit, their is evidence which shows to the contrary. Think for a moment, a mother has the vile choice of abortion, or selling her infant son to the cleaver.…

As the actors spun the set design I became filled with anticipation for what was about to occur, but as the musical progressed my excitement toward the play dwindled. It was almost as if the initial spinning of the stage disoriented me and I was dizzy and confused for the rest of the night. Without the girls beside me explaining the play to each other during intermission I never would have known what was going on. The actors all performed wonderfully, but there were too many actors with unspoken problems to follow.…

I was able to see a different approach on how to grab the audience’s attention from the other director’s performance. The scene at the same time was very comical, but also held you on the edge of your seat with its high tension and wonderful transformation of a relationship between two characters on stage. This really grabbed my attention and taught me that a transformation of a relationship on stage really enriches the performance. Overall, the knowledge I gained from this activity in class really helped me establish a foundation and base for the mechanics of…

Judith Jarvis Thomson argued that while there were objections to abortion, they weren’t well supported. While some people think that abortion is morally wrong, I agree with Thomson because of many reasons. One main reason is that while the fetus has the right to life, a mother does at well. Having an abortion could also be beneficial to the mother’s health if needed. Even if the mother’s health is not at stake and she knew of the risks and still engaged in consensual sex, it’s an unexpected pregnancy that is not the responsibility of the mother.…
