In 2003, I completed a Bachelor of Aboriginal Studies from Wollotuka, the School of Aboriginal Studies, University of Newcastle. My degree included courses of study in the following subject areas: Aboriginal Cultural Studies, Aboriginal Communication studies, Aboriginal Education and Aboriginal Health. The degree emphasised the value of critiquing culture, history and politics.
With my undergraduate degree dedicated to the discipline area of Aboriginal Studies, I effectively utilise this knowledge and experience when teaching Indigenous Studies courses at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
