The original people of Australia were called the aboriginals they had all rights stripped from them in 1788 by the first european settlers as they took the aboriginals land and claimed it as their own. latter on in the development of the country the aboriginals were seen as animals and were getting in the way of development so the young aboriginal children were taken away from their families and put into camps to westernise the children and teach them how to live the ‘correct way’ many families refused to let let the government take the children and some violence broke out.
