Aboriginal Discrimination

The Aboriginals as the black community suffer through a lot of discrimination and prejudice; this was enforced by racial standards created by a certain group of individuals that have a predominately strong idea about racial and social ranks.
Aboriginals were socially and racially profiled due to a difference in physical attributions, race does not defined a human biologically, race is socially constructed by people of power for their benefit, this group racially defines witch group will be privileged and who is not making the unprivileged a minority group and categorizing them as less. In the “Blue eye, brown eye” experiment conducted by Jane Elliot we can conclude that racism affects us more than we can ever imagine, it demonstrates that attacking and excluding people for their race affects them not only emotionally, but mentally demonstrating that those who had more support and were categorized as worthy did a lot better than those who were told they were inferior, this shows us that categorizing us in groups such as the one we are discussing right now witch is race, or any other like sex, gender or religion shows how It influences someone’s perspective on …show more content…
Functionalist perspective is only a justification for oppression and to maintain the order that the oppressor wants to control, this individual has been oppressed for so long they start to believe this is the way of life. This is how the Australians were able to maintain a control over the Aboriginals for so many years, with no education, no chance of escaping the horrible life those people of power
