Child Slavery Essay

No education. Torture. Feeling Used. These are all things that children in slavery had to face every day of their lives. These children were being sent to factories to either make bricks, carpets, or to even go work in mines all day every day. They did not deserve this, they were sent here because their parents did not have enough money so they were in debt. So in order for them to pay of their debt they had to send their children to work and earn money so they could pay of their parent’s debt. We should abolish children slavery. We should let children be children and go and play, not be used for our needs.
These kids had been taken from their families at such a little age that they had no time to learn the necessary things that they need. No schooling is harmful to the children

They are feeling used. Feeling used is unsafe for children because foremost they are being taken from their families at such a young age. Not only do they miss their families but they are running out of hope for the future once they figure out that they never pay off their debt and that they will probably stay there forever. This can damage children’s courage and confidence because they have been used enough that they will not know how to stand up for their selves. Then they work night and day and make rugs for the master and the master sells it and gets money and doesn’t give the children their fair share. Stop this suffering and left the children go so they can see their family.

In conclusion, I believe that we should let children be children and go and play, not be used for our needs. Some might say that children need to learn disciple, but I say that this is not disciple this is slavery and torture and it should be abolished. Adults shouldn’t go through slavery but definitely not children. We need to stop this abuse and let them go and let them live the life God has given

Slave Narratives While most slaves were born into slavery rather than being imported from another country, they still, for the most part, got the same treatment. Throughout elementary school, children are taught that slaves were these immigrants that were brought to the United States to work for property owners and plantation owners. Unfortunately, it was much more than just that. They were brought here to do the dirty work as white men sat and watched them. The women were treated no better, as they had to also work in the fields or do the hard work of keeping the house clean and tidy.…

In the 1820s to the 1840s, the Second Great Awakening helped to inspire a reformist impulse across the nation. One of those movements centered on an effort to abolish slavery in the United States; of course, the desire to eliminate slavery did not go unchallenged. Pro-slavery figures such as George Fitzhugh, Dr. Samuel Cartwright, James Henry Hammond and many others all challenged the ideas of abolishing slavery through stereotypical speeches and even science. It was during this period that slavery was the significant issue of the antebellum period that sparked the Civil War. Many components led to the growth of the slavery system, but before anyone realized it slavery had grown into a very large and daunting task that no one wanted to acquire. While Southerners found ways to justify their beliefs that slavery was ethical, the North was constantly working towards finding a solution that would abolish the problem altogether.
