I still couldn’t believe it had been ten whole years since I had moved from this place, but I just couldn’t get the memories out of my head. I could still feel the classic Norvelt wind blowing across my face calling me out to come and realize that this is where I belong. Well, I guess it was correct because even, after all, I and my family moved to Florida things just didn’t seem to want to go right.

As I walked through the neighborhood I could still see everything as it was ten years ago, even though this Norvelt was so new and different in many ways.Sometimes I just couldn't even imagine how this all happened. It almost seemed like world war ll just happened all in one block.

As I looked around at all the houses that once seemed to

A had a little hazy memory at who it was but couldn’t see the face properly at first but when I got a little closer I saw who it was, the same man who was the reason for so many deaths and house losses in Norvelt Mr.Spizz. “Oh hello my dear boy it’s been quite a long time hasn’t it? Oh who are you by the way?” said Mr.Spizz, I was so shocked I could barely give an answer but I knew I had to get some information off of him about what had happened to Norvelt but before I could say anything he said, “ of course it’s old jack”.I was pretty curious to know how he found out my then I saw blood coming down my nose and it was pretty …show more content…
“Then what was it what had caused the whole town to be like this why were all the houses abbonded, why that’s all I ask from you why”. He sounded like he didn’t want to answer but then he said sadly “ I am about die and unfortunately not as a good person, but before I do if you really must know I guess I can do something good for someone in my life. You really must want to know the answer you came all the way from Florida, well it is a long story in all, but I can tell you this in a very simple way this all happened for the same reason you came from Florida.

“My eyes watered I knew that this had happened in many places but I would last think it would happen in Norvelt, the whole world felt like it had stopped like the gods themselves wanted to me to listen to this dying man’s story I was pretty sure what was coming in this story but not fully sure so I decided to listen, listen to the story of how Norvelt became a war

It’s been a day or two since we’ve left this room. I’m lost and enraptured by the fragility surrounding our isolation. I spend much of my time counting things. I count every different language and color I could learn to love you in.…

Home, college town, and memories made are all things I could say to remind myself of the house I used to live in on Perry Street. Here memories were made and things about myself were learned. I used to never be familiar with the town of Albion until I started my time of living here for so long. When living on Perry Street the town seemed distant and massive to me, little Corey didn’t know how the world worked or how my life would continue after having so many experiences here and finally leaving. Since then driving down the street brings back memories of friendship, exploring, and developing myself to who I am now today.…

For two weeks, I stayed in Charleston, South Carolina. I didn’t know much about the place, except that I referred to it as an army town because that’s where my sister and her husband, who was in the military, stayed. I was reluctant to go, but Charleston had a lot to offer me; a new change of pace and some new scenery was much more satisfying than spending the two weeks stuck in Iowa doing the same old routine. The weather was mystical in Charleston.…

    Agrado Monologue Summary

    • 258 Words
    • 2 Pages

⎯ At the end of her monologue about the cost of the plastic surgery that she had in order to construct this ideal image of herself , Agrado says “it costs a lot to be authentic…you are more authentic the more you resemble what you’ve dreamed of being.” Agrado is both male and female, in the sense that she feels comfortable with her male sex organs, but strives towards this feminine ideal in other avenues of physical appearance. Agrado’s definition of authenticity relates to how her identity is represented through her body and what she choses to do with that body in spite the gender expectations entailed with her biological sex. She complicates the binary between male and female, and reveals that there is no real point of origin for gender.…

All they ever did was whisper; the cruel words cunningly sharpened into daggers, intent on causing him pain and anguish, all because of his uncontrollable circumstances. His name was Jacobi, and his story is forever imprinted in my character. Everyone believed he was somehow inferior to them because of the way he smelled or because of the tattered clothes in which he dressed, and so they judged him without ever truly knowing him. I remember trying to advise him not to fire back at their cunning remarks, though my words had little impact.…
