Ability To Steal

What would you steal if you can steal someone's ability? For me, the enviable abilities to steal are not Logical-Mathematical or Kinesthetic, but it is an ability that makes my life easier whether I am in any corner of the world. It is Linguistic intelligence, the ability that I want to have since I was a child until now. Looking back to when I was a little girl, no one around me speaks English except the German uncle next door. He is the first person who introduced me to know the other languages besides my own mother tongue. He taught me to sing an English lullaby such as ‘Old MacDonald Had a Farm’ or ‘One Little Finger’. I was fun to sing with him and eager to know the meaning of the song. In the first song, roosters sound is 'Cock-a-Doodle-Doo', and it is different from Thais roosters 'Ek-E-Ek -Ek. I used to remember the English alphabet that the teacher taught me at school and then brought it to teach my friends at home. I still clearly remember when I placed my dolls in front of me, I wrote alphabets on the house wall, and taught my dolls to sing an English alphabet song. Teaching my dolls make me remember precisely. When the teacher asked about the English alphabet, I always answered correctly and got praised from my teachers. It has given me a positive attitude towards the English language.
My prime time to improve my English skill was high school. Because I studied in the English program, I had an environment with foreigner teachers. I always talked in English with my American advisor. At first, I did not speak English at all. I just listened and followed what the teachers say because I'm afraid of making mistakes. My advisor told me not to be afraid and also told that the only way to overcome fear was to open the mouth and speak English out loud.
