I disagree with Winona Ryder when she says Abigail Williams is not the villain of the piece. Firstly, Abigail threats her friends she will kill them if they tell. For example, she says she'll come to them in the dark of night with a knife and kill them. She shows how she doesn't value you her friends and would rather them die than them telling on her. Secondly, she lies when it comes to telling the truth that will cost someone's life. She lies and say that Elizabeth came to her one night with a poppet of her and she stab it to kill her, for example.
