“The only place i’ll go with you Abigal is hell” - John Prockter. The animosities in the relationship between Abigail and John drive the character and the development of Abigail Williams. Throughout the play Abigail actions and reactions become more antagonistic. Abby is the antagonist because of her constant lying. She persuades others to go out in the woods and part, and they get caught. She lies and says that a witch made them do it. Due to this situation, Abigail lies become more frequent. Her character drive the mass hysteria in salem leading to do the death of others. Abby is a very sexually promiscuous character because the whole play she is tryong to get with John.
