One way that the Salem Witch Trials occurred was people expressing publicly his or her guilt and sins under the cover of accusations against the victims. Abigail’s uncle discovers that she and other girls were dancing to evil spirits. Abigail was blaming Tituba and telling them that she forced them to do evil things. “She made me do it! She made Betty do it! She makes me drink blood.” The reason why she was blaming Tituba was because Abigail knew that she was doing something wrong and she will get in big trouble for what she did. So what opportunity did she find? Blame Tituba. Tituba confessed that she saw the Devil and was working for him. Then Abigail confessed that she was working for the Devil as well.
