This means that since Elizabeth is accused she can get executed and Abigail can have John Proctor.
Abigail is a selfish girl that is disliked by the village she lives in before the witch trials were even a thing. One day, she was caught with her and her friends and a slave named Tituba doing some type of ritual that looked like a witch ritual. From that incident, she claimed that her and her friends were possessed and could see the devil. Abigail wanted attention, and she got it when she said she was possessed, and lots of people around America were also scared about witches at that time.
