Abigail A Victim In The Crucible

I believe that Abigail was simply a victim. Abigail didn’t have the best life in the world. Abigail had to watch as her parents were murdered by Indians at such a young age. She was sent to live with her uncle who was the Reverend Parris. I can imagine living with the Reverend she had strict life. She was a young girl and I’m sure she had no freedom as women in that time period didn’t. In the book we are told that she and John Proctor were having sexual relations together. She worked as a servant in the Proctor household and after Goody Proctor found out about the affairs she let Abigail go. In the play Proctor realizes the mistake he made in cheating on his wife for Abigail and ends the relationship. As a young girl I am sure that broke Abigail’s
