Abduction And Injustice In Uganda

Improved Essays
We walked into the auditorium, and the video started and I saw footage of Uganda that I had never seen before. When I saw the face of Kony for the first time, anger filled my body. Suddenly I heard gunshots from the video, and I was taken back to the night my family rented a van to move to Uganda. It was dark and dangerous, I was two years old but the memory still remains vivid. We heard a gunshot, the sound became louder the closer we got. All of the sudden my mom ducked my head and covered my ears. My eyes were weeping in tears, and I fell asleep. I looked around the auditorium, everyone was in tears, we were all shocked by the abduction and injustice in Uganda. That day, I had a conversation with my Mom, I wanted her to confirm my memory.

It was cold and ordinary evening on March 5, 1770, when I was walking down King street with my friend Henry. As were walking past the Custom House a young wig maker's apprentice walked up to a British soldier and insulted him because he had not payed for a wig. Another British soldier had walked out and scolded the young boy for disrespecting a British soldier. The boy exchanged insults with the soldier so he pulled out his musket and struck the boy on the side of the head. A stream of chills rushed through my body when I witnessed that.…

night being 16 years ago on this day, I’m sure America woke up still in shock or not even able to sleep through the the United States was on high alert after the towers have been hit by two planes flown by two suicide bombers on 9/11/01. I woke up on the morning of September 11, 2001 and at the time I was 10 years old, I remember looking at the television that was on news and seeing the twin towers on fire and smoking. I didn’t understand back then what was going on, none of the adults in the house we’re talking about it or what had happened I just thought it was another day. As I went to school and ate breakfast, I remember hearing our teacher talk about it and the worried look on their faces. Before we were to go back to our classes, I asked…

It was during the winter of 1950 when it all happened. I ignored the teacher’s lecture to look out through the frosty windowpanes and admire our South Korean flag waving outside in the freezing weather. Are individuals aware of the human trafficking situation going on throughout the entire planet? Do they even know what human trafficking is and how it affects not only the people involuntarily involved but every single other person as well?
