Abby is also known as abigail and she is the other girl that was dancing around in the forest with betty. Parris also thinks that abby was involved in the witchcraft. She is also the girl that had an affair with proctor. She tries to hide the fact that she casted a spell with tituba, because it would expose the fact that she got with proctor. She also had to lie about the whole thing so she didn't get caught about plotting elizabeth's death. Is what she does is accuse others of witchcraft so the focus isn't on her and they have an eye on the other people. “Unkle, we did dance, let you tell them i confessed it, and i'll be whipped if i must be but they're speakin of witchcraft. Bettys not wiched”(miller, 12). In this quote she is getting all of the attention off of her and trying to blame it on somebody else and also saying that betty was not …show more content…
They do not look very similar. Parris is a male and abigail is a women. Although abigail is parris's niece and paris is abigail's uncle. Abby is a very good liar and she is good at doing everything bad. She is just a bad girl in general, she is very smart though. In her case that's not good because that's what helps her get away with everything. Then there is proctor, he is not as bad as abby because he doesn't lie as much and isn't very smart and wily. He is just very unliked by the town and the person that really does not like him is john proctor. He is just really struggling to find his right position in the town without being liked and getting forced out by everybody. You can almost see that they are in the same family or that they are related because they are both disliked in there own way and they aren't that nice of people. So it makes you wanna kind of think about that and look at the rest of the family and see if they are the same way and not liked
