Beta Manufacturers is an American-based supplier with the focus on transportation efficiency. They provide very cheap shipping rates in their products to emerging markets. Since they are based in America, they uphold American worker’s standards and have made environmental protection a top priority. Some of the questions we have while choosing the prospective suppliers are whether they have a known track record of complying with international standards, do they provide their employees with fair working conditions and if they are the most effective supplier for the product. The resource we have is the supplier section in the capstone assignment which states each supplier’s track record on compliance with rules regarding working conditions and international supplier standards. Alpha Supply Company, Beta Manufacturers, Gamma Creation and Delta Suppliers are the four suppliers we can choose from. Our decision with regard to the supplier we choose will affect Abbot because the profitability of this initiative will depend on its cost and the reputation of the supplier also affects Abbot because they now have a professional business relationship. After a thorough analysis of the different suppliers, we have chosen Alpha Supply Company as our primary supplier because of the way they treat their employees and their commitment to ensure that they abide by international supplier standards. Although this is the most expensive alternative, we believe that it is the best option because
