5. Evan
In English, Evan has made an effort on the writing genres we have covered this semester. Evan has shown a satisfactory understanding of procedure, recount and information writing. When Evan writes he usually uses simple sentences and compound sentences, nonetheless needs to extend himself into include complex sentences and he needs to continue to edit his work and redraft his work to make improvements. Evan’s spelling has developed well this semester and has been working confidently in his spelling group. Evan enjoys Guided Reading, and he reads confidently with in his group. Evan needs to continue to practice reading and focus on developing his comprehension skills and fluency skills.
6. Abbie
In English, Abbie has worked well on writing genres we have covered this semester. Abbie has shown a satisfactory understanding of procedure, recount and information writing creating imaginative texts. Abbie has shown good sentence structure, writing simple and compound and complex sentences. Abbie needs to continue to focus on her editing, ensure all mistakes are corrected or identifies before it is handed up. Alicia’s writing usually contains simple sentences and compound sentences, nonetheless she needs to develop her knowledge of complex sentences to help her develop her writing further. Alicia has worked well on her spelling showing good improvement. Alicia needs to keep working hard on her spelling and effectively use time in class to complete her spelling work to help her progress further. Alicia needs to continue to practice her reading, focusing on fluency, decoding and reading for meaning to help her decipher words she is unsure
