A housing project that is not completed or ready for occupancy is considered as abandoned. The existence of abandoned housing project has been considered as a national issue due to its continuous occurrence all over the country. Owing to the seriousness of abandoned housing projects, the government has given the responsibility to the private developers for undertaking the rehabilitation program. Rehabilitation, being one of the initiatives to overcome this problem, has been a tedious process from the developers’ perspectives due to too many issues and challenges linked to it.
