Zimbardo’s Stanford Prison Experiment is one known for its many positive and negative outcomes, as well as giving an outline of negative ethical practices when conducting a research using humans. However, the process of constructing such an experiment was originally done with good intentions, not expecting those involved to suffer psychological changes. There were two purposes to inspire the conduction of this study. First, researchers wanted to observe what kind of norms will develop in a psychologically stressful situation. Secondly, to discover the changes in behavior when a group of peers, of similar situations, are given either a position of uncontrolled power or a position of expected submission.…
A typical IBI team consists of a Program Manager, an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Consultant, a Clinical Supervisor, a Senior Therapist, a Lead/Primary Therapist and Instructor Therapists. Each of these professionals have different job descriptions, and offer unique skills and abilities that are useful in giving support to a child with ASD in addition to their family. Perry (2004), outlines a theoretical model for understanding stress which essentially includes four main components: stressors, resources, supports and outcomes. This model has been put together using a variety of literature resources, in order for professionals to understand and apply this theory to their occupation. This model can help us better understand as professionals…

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples (ATSI’s) Outline the nature and extent of the health inequities suffered by this group The contrast between ATSI’s and the rest of the Australian population in relation to health equity is the largest contrast that can be found within health statuses in Australia. This can be accounted for due to increased likelihood of ATSI’s experiencing disability and/or a reduced quality of life due to ill health. This inequity is clearly seen as currently Indigenous Australians tend to die earlier than non-Indigenous Australians and their death rates are almost twice those of non-Indigenous Australians.…

This method was chosen because this study involves a large number of subjects and numerical data that is analyzed by using mathematical methods. It concentrates on the numbers and must be impartial and be statistically valid. This chapter will look at the setting, research method and design, the participants, procedures, instrumentation, and the conclusion.…
