Hello Dr. Williams,

Thank you for responding to my e-mail, and yes I had to reach out to you when I realize the mistake. The assignment was totally demolished and I am here working on it. Despite the stumbling blocks that I have continuously attempting to overcome; giving up was never on my mind. The questions that you asked on that APA paper, along with the how you wanted the class to present the assignment to you was all foreign to me. However, I am still curious as to what came across your mind as you read the assignment. Certainly, I have to give you great respect because I still do not know how you actually figure out what I was trying to get across to you. Oh Lord!

Please let me know if it is possible for you to take a look at

    * For the Fall for the Book assignment, I chose to attend Janet Mock's event. Last year, she was supposed to come; however, she was unable to make it to George Mason University. In the article, "A's for Everyone!" Alicia C. Shepard discussed her distress over the number of students that expected to be handed an A at the university she taught at. She claimed that it was becoming a normality for the majority of the class to receive A's; a B was no longer considered a good grade. The intended audience for this work of writing would be teachers, students, and parents. It can relate to teachers by the struggles they face, persuade students to not argue with their teachers about grades, and communicate to parents that sometimes their children are not deserving of higher grades.…

12th Grade – AP English Literature: The AP English Literature curriculum involves a rigorous reading and writing schedule designed to reflect the amount of work students would experience in a college literature class. Over the course of the first quarter students read and studied poetry and short stories. There was a test on each genre, requiring students to practice thinking critically about literature and writing analysis in a timed setting. Selected poems covered British and American authors from the 1700s to the present.…

Honestly, I am not a very motivated person. I tend to try hard in school for the sole purpose of receiving an A. I never had thought of learning as an activity, but rather a priority. A priority that exists once again, for the purpose of getting an A. In my head, if I received an A, I would feel secure and my life would be able to move along smoothly. Receive a B, and my whole world would stop. Sadly, it seemed almost impossible for me to receive even close to a B when it came to writing.…

English 1105 has been an important learning experience for me and my writing processes. After a response paper, discussion boards, and formal essays, my writing style and process has changed drastically from how it was prior to this class. Each assignment that was required has shaped me as a writer. The response paper helped me to analyze the content of an argumentative work and put into words how I felt about each aspect. Although not time consuming assignments, the discussion boards have provided opportunities to discuss issues with classmates openly and argumentatively.…

Unfortunately for personal reasons, I was not able to complete this assignment by the due date. In order to not fail other courses (whose presentations were not due on that day) I had to sacrifice the presentation of this essay. I recognized that a ‘Domino effect’ would happen with the other assignments if I devoted the necessary time to that assignment. If I could change something, it would be to think twice before taking three classes for one summer session, so I can give my whole attention to only one or two courses.…

The moment I walked into the classroom, an uneasy feeling had come over me. This was the first year that the school had offered AP classes, and I knew that this particular course would be challenging, but the teacher had given me comfort. Confidence, that I belonged here. The confidence, even if the AP Calculus class was not what I particularly wanted to take for my senior year curriculum, had never felt more reliable. Throughout the year, there was material that my brain couldn’t comprehend and I shut down because of it, truly believing that I wasn’t capable of handling the mathematics.…

Initial Reflection In my draft I feel as if I was most successful in explaining how the constituents of the rhetorical situation influenced my writing. In my second writing sample, I mentioned how each of the constituents, most importantly the exigence, shaped the way I wrote the email. I made sure to explain why I chose to write the way I did, and why I chose to include the links and phrases that I used to convince my father to let me join a sorority. Even though I think I went into detail on how the constituents influences my writing, I don 't feel like my first writing sample was explained well.…

The first half of the second semester in AP Statistics, was used to study the most difficult topics of the year. These included probability theory, probability models, simulation, and sampling distributions. Using all that we learned about these topics we began the real work of statisticians: using confidence intervals and hypothesis testing for inference. We will continue to expand on the basic inference concepts we’ve studied until we complete the AP Statistics curriculum. Our final weeks of the year will be spent preparing for the AP exam.…
