AP Language Reflection

Decent Essays
I would like to outline my appreciation to you for teaching our AP Language class. You really do make the English class enjoyable and meaningful. I believe that my writing of critical analysis will be much better by the end of the year.

I write to apologize for my irresponsibility regarding the Summer Homework. I am sorry that I haven't been really on top of my assignment that was due months ago. Procrastination and laziness are two traits that are not really good to have.

I was wondering what we can do about the missing assignment. I have read the book and I did complete the assignment (it isn't my best work just to let you know). I do not believe that you should take your time to grade it, since that would be very greedy of me to take

My revision of “Face it, America!” that follows this cover letter reflects what I have learned in English 1021 so far. While revising this essay, I learned when to use present tense in my writing and past tense in my writing when appropriate. In this class, I have learned to use more transitions and appropriate transitions in my writing. My revision reflects this because in my second paragraph where I mention the significance of police officers, I use transition words for every new sentence that needs it.…

After reading the rhetorical analysis letter written by my peer, I find out a few shortcomings that I made in the essay. My peer shed a light on some lacunas which will help me a lot in my future writings. As appreciating her efforts, I will reflect on her work to have a better evaluation of my project and acknowledge my mistakes. First of all, with clear and sincere comments from my colleagues, I acquire a broader insight of my writings; moreover, I find a way to make my argumentative essay more convincing. In detail, as my peer mentioned in her analysis letter, I do not have the rebuttal part which is not required but encouraged to have in the Toulmin model.…

When I first started this course, I was scared and didn’t really know what to expect. I branched out to different styles and types of essays as well as incorporating outside sources into my work. Over the course of English 102, I have developed a new set of skills and learned to become a better writer. When I first came into English 102 I struggled with many different concepts of writing. During the semester in English 102, my writing became stronger because I learned how to incorporate evidence into my argument, do more thorough research, have smoother transitions, and have more organization throughout my essay. I learned how to peer review better and to take what others say and incorporate it into my essay. In the beginning, before English 102, I struggled with good organization and flow to an essay, sandwich evidence into paragraphs, and having strong arguments in persuasive essays.…

Person First Language Reflection 1. What concepts did you find interesting or important from this article? I think the most important message that the article brings out is we need to treat the people who have disabilities as people like everyone first, but not as their medical diagnoses. They are the unique individual, they are a group of people that use their bodies in difference way, and they share the same rights as everybody. As people who don’t have disabilities, we shouldn’t use any words that contain with negative perception and stereotypes to describe the people who have disabilities.…

    Essay About English Class

This English class has been very helpful in my efforts to improve my writing abilities, but has also been very challenging due to there being a different median for every essay. It’s been a heavy work load especially this semester since I decided to enroll in five classes, but in the end it has been very beneficial indeed. I can’t say that writing essays has been one of my strong points but I believe that this course has helped me improve tremendously and it has also made me feel a lot more comfortable with my writing. While in high school I would usually write all of my essays a day before the due date a habit of mine that was very difficult to overcome, but now I have learned from my mistakes.…
