Taking my first AP class was something that changed my life for the better in realizing how different high school teaching is from college teaching. I was always fascinated in chemistry when I took the course during sophomore year; learning about how chemical react with one another creating something phenomenon and learning how a reaction takes place in a microscopic levelled me to take AP Chemistry. AP Chemistry teaches chemistry in a whole different level where chemical reactions can determine whether it is either a redox/ oxidation equations, equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics and etc. The class is also a faster pace as well because the teacher needs to teach the student the topics they need to …show more content…
Also, I realized that I could not cram it all in the night before a test either since there are a lot of information that needed to be taught there are going to be fewer exams causing multiple chapters to be one test. Self studying is a major learning ability that I had to do by myself since the class was a fast paced, so I had to learn materials on my own and prepare myself because the topics that were taught are the building blocks for the following chapters and without the basic knowledge I would get lost/ confused through the whole
