Riley pushed past her fellow students to get out of her AP Bio class first, running full speed down the hallways she made sure to slow down when she passed Mr.Fledge’s room knowing he had no tolerance for anyone who broke the rules and wouldn’t think twice to give her detention for running.
Finally she made it to the hallway she had been looking for, composing herself she made sure her hair was in place and had the most nonchalant look on her face.
“Jenkins.” Riley nodded, showing off her smile. Without a second thought Jenkins handed her books over. “You know you really don’t have to keep doing this.” The older black girl said in reply as she finished putting on her chapstick in the mirror.
Without fail Riley Matthews would meet her at her locker or classroom and take her books from her and walk her to class. It all started in Freshman year when Riley tried out for the cheerleading squad and accidently ended up breaking Jenkins leg.

After freshman year she never stopped saying that it was tradition at this point, she wasn’t sure what she was going to do when Jenkins graduated.
“I know.” Riley looked down at her feet. “I want too.” Riley admitted while taking the Junior’s hand into her own. She guided the girl to her AP chem class with a content sigh.
Some people still gave them funny looks but for the most part they were use to the clumsiest girl in school and the head cheerleader holding hands in the hallways, never commenting on their shy smiles and blushes that would adorn their faces.
Jenkins paused in front of her classroom. She still had three minutes left before she had to go back into the room and there was a question dying on the tip of her
