The biggest benefit of being a student at the AMFS is the connections that I will make. This is a very large festival with some of the best students and faculty in the country and getting to meet and perform with these musicians an incredible opportunity. I will also get the chance to focus on my solo playing and technique. Getting two months worth of private lessons from such a renowned teacher will be amazing. I actually had the chance to play for Professor Adkins when he was on the panel of my Juilliard Audition. Being able to work with someone who has seen and heard me from the other side of the panel is a priceless experience. Also, if I were to go back home, I would get practically no lessons this summer.
