Linguistic and Cultural diversity are important to our society. Culture is more than the foods we eat and the holidays we celebrate. Culture goes beyond these trendy surface elements. Culture is about our everyday way of life. It is the lens through which we view society and it affects how we learn. In our diverse society, everyone has their own unique culture and their own unique experiences. Through my experience tutoring English as a Second language, I learned that culture and cultural diversity are critical to education.
