Been a leader is not easy, but once conquer the strategy to succeeded in your field the sky is your limit. At Aviation High School, a school that is known for it’s vocational teachings in aviation is were my inspiration for management came about. One of the programs within the school that contributed the most in my decision to study management in the future was AFJROTC. I would have never imagined how this military program would be the pivotal point in my decision to college. AFJROTC stands for Air force junior reserve officer training corps and the goal of this program is to educate young people like my self in becoming better citizens while also getting a wider understanding of how to manage your economics that go from managing your checking’s to making a simulation of what would be to have a family and the spending and management that comes with it.

From the chain of command to how logistics worked in the unit I felt that one day I would like to be the guy running the program. Even when I had a straight mind about my future in the wing, I always kept a realistic goal and that was that with power came responsibility and that is something I would truly understand four years from that point.
During my senior year in high school I was awarded the position of Wing Commander of the NY-932 unit. This achievement in my young life was the product of my goal I had set four years ago and that was to be the CEO of the unit for a year. This event in my life is one of the prime reasons why today I’m applying to Cornell’s school of Hotel Administration. As the Wing Commander, you are the CEO of a unit consisting of more than 400 cadets, which include groups, and subgroups, which allows every cadet within the unit to have a
