Every child diagnosed with ADHD doesn’t necessarily exemplify the same symptoms; therefore, the school systems must use a system proven to be effective in helping these students excel. School systems use the Response to Intervention (RTI) Model to ensure students with different levels of learning disabilities are able properly placed in the correct learning environment. Without using a model such as this it would be extremely difficult for the school faculty to ensure that every student with learning disabilities gets the proper tools needed for their education (White). The RTI approach has four advantages. First, it aids in discovering behavioral issues before they escalate into bigger issues. Second, the approach stresses that a student’s issues will not simply go away, it gives the ability to adjust to the student’s needs.
