One thing that may be difficult to set up for a classroom is for children that has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Students that have ADHD it is harder for them to focus in a regular classroom environment because of all different things might be on the wall, colors, or other students. This is why a teacher has to make exceptions to some rules that have been place when they have a student with ADHD. When setting up a classroom with a student who has ADHD, the teacher has to have many accommodations, so that the child can have the best outcome with learning. One thing a teacher can do is have an area for the students to place their clothes or backpacks. Another thing when setting up a classroom is to have a homework and notebook organizer. The helps to encourage the students with ADHD to write down assignments and remember to finish them. For ADHD students it is best for them to be seated in the front row near the teacher because they are less likely to get distracted. Another thing a teacher should do within her classroom is to have the rules posted and reviewed now and then. This helps the students not to forget and reminds them how to behave in classroom. Another way to eliminate distractions is by limiting the amount of talking or interruptions in the classroom. When you might have students in groups it is best to set up a timer and time limit, that way each student may speak. In addition, a teacher can also remind the students often about the rules of interrupting and to stop and think before raising their hand during class. Lastly, a teacher should use a type of reward system, that way the students can earn reward if followed the rules correctly. I personally saw one reward that a teacher used was for a child to have ten minutes to jump on this mini trampoline. This reward was not just fun for the students but it also gave the student time to release any built up
