Lilly just moved to colorado when she got a note from someone she didn't know. It had sloppy writing and no one that she knew so far had sloppy writing. The note said, "come with me in the old bathroom.” so she went and saw that there was only a big mirror. She knocked on the mirror. When a new family moved in, the next day they disappeared, because everyone died.” Lily got so frightened that her hands started shaking and she could barely speak, but she still read on.” When they investigated from the second families death they searched the house and saw different things that could have killed them all. One of the things that could have killed them was the glass in a mirror because it was broken into a gazillion pieces, they also found that there were people on the ground with a lot of scratches. They also found footprints which led to the outside world. The investigators got so nervous because they kept on

“The Secret Life of Bees” is a novel about a young girl on an adventure to discover her lost mother, find love and develop extreme courage. Sue Monk Kidd does a fantastic job on writing about the feelings of the unknown and emphasizing what is great in life, instead of dwelling on the bad things. A family is not just the people who live under the same roof, but perhaps may be people who share a common adventure or love for something. This type of family is very important for a girl like Lily who was left motherless, with doubts about her place in the world.…
