The gun was filled with live rounds instead with blanks, so when he aimed it at his head, the gun blew his brains out. Pieces of it hitting other cast members and even some blood hitting the audience. His dead corpse collapsed over the actress playing Juliet, his blood flying all over her dress. When investigators looked over the case and inspected possible suspects of who could have loaded the gun with real bullets, they came to find little to nothing and the case was dropped and was listed as a prop malfunction.
