Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me yesterday. I really enjoyed our conversation and learning some more about Jefferies. It was also great learning more about the Generalist Program, which I believe helps associates to find a group where they will fit the best, without having to decide upfront where they want to be.…
I look forward to learning from my professors the rest of this school…
A recap on my life: Spring Semester has been very busy, but it has been such a great Wolf ride-this week in particular. So many things have happened recently in my life that I just want to thank everyone who has taken the journey with me! The big highlights of the week include: · Honored as ODK's Top Ten Freshman (Only ten students of the entire Freshman class at UMD recieve this honor) · Selected as an Images Tour Guide! I will now have the opportunity to show perspective students why Maryland is the right fit for them and why I love it so much · Attended Tea with Title IX- as a member of the Title IX Board Student Adivsory Board, I was invited to attend Tea with Title IX where I was able to discuss different policy improvements regarding Title IX on campus (huge shout out to NAN and Taylor for putting on a great event)…
Friday and Wednesday’s gallery walk was a huge learning experience. I learned so much about topics that I didn’t know anything about like Kent State, The Space Race and the Gulf of Tonkin Incident. When I was presenting I loved seeing how interested people were in my topic as was I. People had so many questions and it was great to be able to know so much and answer them. My topic was the John F. Kennedy assassination.…
Personal Statement Maths is such a broad, diverse subject and studying the four areas of maths has given me a wide range of mathematical skills whilst also being a lot of fun! There is always something more to learn and understand, and it is that which fuels my dedication to the subject. The challenge that math poses motivates me to spend time working on problems and gaining the satisfaction from finding the solution. Algebra is my favourite area of maths for this very reason.…
H-O-M-E-C-O-M-I-N-G! Homecoming is the time where current students get to experience their school in a new way, and where alumni are invited back to reminisce. This year, beginning from October 11-17. 2015, Florida A&M University proudly celebrates homecoming week. The homecoming festivities began Sunday with the Homecoming Kick-Off Worship Service and ended with the Gospel Concert, Saturday night. During the week days, there were many events happening on and off campus.…
As a Freshman at Lyndon State College. I was sure how things work. I get nervous when I am in class. I don’t really like talking in the class. I hate public speaking because I thought people will make fun of my English.…
Joy Woods Expressive Journal Entry: Gratitude Negative things have happened this semester. I’ve been irritated, sad, frustrated, angry, and confused. I’ve gone through a multitude of emotions during this first semester of my freshman year here at UNCG, but there’s something move positive I’d like to focus on, and that’s thankfulness. I’d like to use this journal entry as a time to express my gratitude to my professors, my fellow classmates, and strangely enough, to myself. I, of course, owe a great deal to my professors this semester.…
Final Reflection Paper I have learned a lot about my self this semester in this interpersonal communication class. Going In, I did not know what to expect. All of the other communication classes I have taken were speech class and I hated those. This was a good shift.…
Culminating Final Reflection My presentation was pretty effective in terms of getting my information and overall points across. I think the most effective part of my presentation was the organization of slides. I tried very hard to make sure the order of my presentation made sense, and that it wasn’t too overcrowded with pictures and words.…
Each week presented a new topic that opened my eyes to many things. The readings were hard to keep up with at times, but I got through it and it benefited me tremendously. At times I would find myself uninterested at was being said in the readings, but after a while something would catch my attention and get me interested again. I know that this class will be very beneficial to me in everyday since the things I learned about are topics that are brought up everyday.…
Over all this class was great for me I was able to try new things with papers that I never had the chance to do before. Was able to be a lot more creative and think outside of the box and papers, I learned that some things work really well and some stuff I tried did not. I'm glad that I was able to experience this class with Professor Sue Briggs and my classmates everything I learned in the class is going to help me later in life and my…
Throughout the course, I learned different aspects of project management, and skills that can be used in the everyday life as long as involve interacting with other people. In this class I learned about how to be a better team member. This semester I was reminded of how important communication is and how people need to keep emphasizing it as one of the most important skills any person could possesses. The personality test was useful, I think it gave all of us a good way to start to see how everyone is different. It made it easier for each of us to better understand one another in how our unique personalities can be a challenge when working with others.…
In my first semester here at High Point University I have learned a few lessons in The President’s Seminar that will help me throughout the rest of my life. In all of those lessons that were given the two that stuck with me; how to create an effective presentation and how to manage my time. While attending these lessons I have learned ways to make my life more successful. I believe that these lessons will stick with me and help me in my future jobs. When you are giving a presentation you must have confidence and you shouldn’t be scared or be embarrassed to be in front of people.…
This past section has been very fascinating. I feel like I learned so many new things, and I realized that I know absolutely nothing about the universe. It has been cool learning new things, and also realizing that there is so much for me to learn, but also for mankind to learn in general, nobody really knows anything for sure when it comes to the universe. Overall what I have learned the most this semester include the concepts of redshift, the fact that the universe is expanding, how huge the universe is, and that the Big Bang theory is not as ridiculous as I previously believed it to be. Redshift describes how light changes as objects in space) move closer or farther away from us.…
