Overcoming adversity always starts off by knowing that you can achieve anything you put your mind to. Through your whole life, overcoming adversity has many struggles but you can either wait out the obstacle or avoid the problem by finding an alternate solution. People overcome adversity by learning to accept their differences, believing in their self, and having a positive attitude. During, the story “A Work In Progress” not only did Aimee Mullins accept her disability, she never gave up. Since Aimee was just a little girl she always accepted her disability because she didn’t care that she was different.
