In this single story, it is showing a mother’s normal day which consist of cleaning, cooking carpool, and taking care of kids. The husband pops up for a second but only to head off to work leaving the mom to take care of everything. She ends up having a heart attack which is what the commercial is about but it also portrays woman to have basic “woman” jobs.
Rhetorical Strategies:
Style: This clip uses a lot of visuals that indicate that woman are care takers and cleaners and house keepers. The first few seconds it flips through her normal routine which consist of laundry, making breakfast for her husband, packing the kids book bag feeding the animals, taking out the laundry, while taking phone calls, and then tending to her family. They whole time it is just her running around fixing doing “typical” woman things. None of these images were out of the ordinary and they were all for the woman to balance, even though she had a husband who could have very well been their helping or doing what she was doing.

There is another side to this story because women are also able to be leaders, business owners, and much more. It makes people look at me as if I can’t do the same thing as other men, when I can. People look down on me like I am weaker and not able to comprehend or keep up with is what is going on. For example, I had a car issues where the battery died, I just needed a pair of jumpers and I could have done it myself. I had found someone to lend me a pair and the entire time I was being questioned if I was able to complete this task myself, it was very frustrating and defeating.
