What is the meaning of the last line of the story? The story went through all of Eddie’s birthdays. The Mitch Albom went through all of Eddie's birthdays was because he died on his birthday. So he could save that little girl. From the falling cart from a ride named Freddie's Free Fall. That was the sad part of the book. That Eddie risked his life for that little girl, at Ruby Pier. After that sad part of the book Eddie goes up to heaven. And meets this little girl that he had killed in the war that he was in. And some other people. When I heard that Eddie risked his life for that little girl. Honestly I could see Eddie doing that for that little girl, he is just that kind of person. Eddie is so kind and caring person. “Holding anger is a poison. It eats you from inside. … hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves.” (pg 141) -Ruby. This quote made me think about how many times I have held in my anger. So people don’t know that I am angry. The last line of the book basically means that one person affects the next, and their story that affects next person. Eddie is not self centered person he cares about others not just himself. Eddie has taught me a lot of things. One of the other thing that Eddie has taught me is that even people that don’t like you deep down they like you. “All endings are also beginnings. We just don’t know it at the time.”--Mitch Albom. The first line of the quote “All endings are also beginnings.” That when we think it is the end of something it is not the end it is just the opposite of that. When Mitch had the part in the book where the cart from Freddie's Free Fall was falling of the ride and hiding to the ground where there was a little girl was standing.
