The intended audience of the article “ The Indians' Old World:Native Americans and the Coming of European”, are the general public and historians because the article shows how a lot of people give more importance of American history after Columbus rather than before Columbus and criticize how historians know much less history prior to arrival of columbus in 1492. For instance, the author Neal Salisbury states that “historians now recognize that Europeans arrived, not in a virgin land, but in one that was teeming with several million people (435)”. 2. The author’s main argument is that there was densely populated society before European arrival, how certain patterns and processes originated before and after contact with the Europeans.…
As I began to read The Gift of the Jews I automatically saw the authors perspective on all of humanity. He says within the first sentences of his book that the Jews started it all, and by “it” he means everything we value as a society, everything that nonetheless makes us human. As the book progresses he goes on to talk about the story of the bible, from Egypt to Babylon all while interconnecting everything to the Jews or their version of the bible. Thomas Cahill begins his book with discussing “The Temple in the Moonlight.” This story begins in the 5th millennia where our history began, with the first human.…

People have to change who they are because if they do not change, survival is not possible. A good way of putting the situation is, “So the struggle was not against a human enemy, or for victory. Compelling and intense, a novel giving a new light to what it means to live in the tundras of Alaska. This of course isn’t the first book Jean has written about adventures in the wilderness. His other book My Side of the Mountain shows great strengths in survival and explanations on how to live in the deciduous wilderness, but not as much depth perception of the main character. But, in Julie of the Wolves Jean goes into full backstory about Miyax the 13 year old eskimo runaway. The story launches the reader right into the actions from the first page.…

The Allemanic tribes lived for a long period of time along the border of the Roman Empire.
